Well,  this use local and support local craze is still going strong…. I gotta say that my family has been doing this for over twenty years. Since I can remember our family business, a large catering company has been using Brampton based Italpasta. Here are some of the pasta dishes at That Italian Place.  1. Mafalda e Baccala. 2. For our relationship to last this long from one successful business journey to the next, they have had to be and continue to be something special.

I remember as a young teenager our first salesman Frank, straight shooter type of guy, pleasant to talk to and got the job done….. Still to this day he hasn’t changed. Since then each salesperson even my current representative, Mario remains professional and caring. This is how friendship in business can work.Sometimes I chuckle at people when  they say “italian pasta is the best”….. Why do I chuckle? Maybe in Italy when you are in Italy…. But here, where my business is,  where I live, where I feed my customers, I’ll take that local made pasta that doesn’t have to travel overseas. The Story of ItalpastaJoseph Vitale’s lifelong passion for food was formed in his mother’s kitchen in Bari, Italy when he was just a little boy. He founded Italpasta in 1989 and since then, Italpasta Limited has grown to become a premium manufacturer of pasta in Canada.

We employ 300 people, including ten “pastaios” – pasta specialists with a long tradition in their craft. The “pastificio” – the pasta manufacturing plant, is over 230,000 sq. ft. in size and is complimented by our own distribution centre that covers 300,000 sq. ft. with 20 receiving bays.

We proudly use only 100% Grade #1 durum semolina purchased from highly specialized durum wheat millers in Canada. We select only product made from the heart of the finest grade of wheat, rejecting any product that does not satisfy our very stringent specifications.
